The American Red Cross, as one of the nation's premier humanitarian organizations, is dedicated to helping people in need throughout the United States and, in association with other Red Cross societies, throughout the world. Your local chapter, under the direction of it’s fifteen member board of governors, work to provide relief to victims of disasters and help prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies here in our own local community.
Our Mission
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter and the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Putnam County Red Cross is 1 of 3 chapters in Ohio nationally rated as a "Highly Performing Chapter" by the American Red Cross Chapter Performance Standards Board!

 Haiti update
*To be cost effective, Putnam County Red Cross is collecting monetary donations for the Haiti relief. If you would like to help, mail or drop off your donation. Please be sure to list "Haiti earthquake" so we know how to distribute the donation.
*We will be having a Haiti fundraiser on Feb. 20. More information will follow. As always, thank you.
Next disaster meeting
Thursday, Feb. 11 @6:30 p.m. in the upstairs conference room.
Drive thru BBQ
We will be having a drive thru BBQ chicken dinner chapter fundraiser on Sun. March 21 from 11-1 p.m. tentatively scheduled at the Senior Citizens Center in Ottawa. Follow your nose!
After-school program
We are in the process of completing a health and safety after-school program at Continental. Students learned Scrubby Bear (techniques on cleanliness) and Masters of Disasters (disaster preparedness). Contact the office to make arrangements or for more information (419) 523-4810.
Training all H.S. seniors!
The Putnam County Red Cross is on a mission to certify every graduating H.S. senior in the county in adult CPR through their school. Thanks to Miller City H.S., Pandora H.S. and Ft. Jennings H.S. for participating! Contact the office at (419) 523-4810 to arrange this service.
